Get set ........

There we are. Starting off on the left of the map. Over the next 3 weeks the little car will move its way all the way to the upper right hand corner: Newfoundland!

In 24 hours we are on the road. Everything is lined up. House sitters. Dog sitters. Key documents (including Walla Walla wine info!) have been emailed to the kindle.

Thanks to the following for making this trip possible: Donald at Michael Stead Porsche who did everything he could to ensure trouble-free travel. The Hurlburt and Chin families for the house and the pets. Lanette and Randy, Diane and Frank, and Brigitte, all of whom are opening their homes to us for catching up on long standing friendships. And to our daughter Elissa and her husband Jonathan, for allowing us to crash the 4th of July in the Big Apple, where the guest bedroom on the fourth floor looks unobstructed across the East River at the Empire State Building and Manhattan.

So off we go on ouyr voyage, looking forward to Glacier National Park (Lake McDonald Lodge and the Many Glacier Hotel), the North Shore Lake Superior Drive, Montreal and Quebec (The Chateau Frontenac), Acadian New Brunswick, Newfoundland, eating PEI mussels on PEI, 4th of July in NYC (Yankee game and fireworks), Philadelphia, Fallingwater (Frank Lloyd Wright), Pikeville, KY, Hannibal, MO, Estes Park and the Stanley Hotel, The Golden Spike, and then ... HOME.
