Abandoning the two laners......gotta get home

Leaving Kentucky, and our two lane adventures, it will be time to head on home.   We will make our way northwest to I-80 and then run it all the way home.  6 days to California.
Time to blow out the carburetor on the Porsche and outrun some troopers.....our private little "Cannonball Run".  Good thing Linda has a clean record.

When we get home we will have been gone 5 and a half weeks.  This ties us for our longest North American road trips....it is the fourth time we have done about 5 and a half weeks:  1981 to New Brusnwick; 1992 to Fairbanks, and 1994 to Toronto.

It has been 16 years since a long road trip...the longest gap in our 40+ years together as a couple.

We plan to post at least every other day both stories and pictures. Thanks for riding in the 'back seat!" Hope you have a good trip!

The Way Home

Here are the last four tentative maps that get us headed home from New York City.  We will visit Fallingwater, FRank Lloyd Wright's architectural wonder in Pennsylvania, and then head to our friend Brigitte's home in Kentucky.
